VIVIAN MAIER With nearly 20,500 catalogues and 22,500 albums sold, the publications on Vivian Maier both ranked among the top five best-selling Fine Arts publications in France in 2021. From the start of the exhibition, in the context of a worldwide paper supply crisis, reprints were ordered to meet demand at the Musée du Luxembourg and the bookstores. The album in particular met with unprecedented success. Supported by a strong author policy, the collection is gradually becoming established and is now holding its own against competing special issues. The catalogue, meanwhile, has established itself as the reference work on the artist in France and internationally. After being sold at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Quimper and the Musée de Pont-Aven during the Vivian Maier exhibitions, foreign language editions, some of them chiming

with other exhibitions, have emerged, with Italian, English and Korean versions. A second reprint in French, available in June 2022, will meet demand from the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, which wanted the Rmn Grand Palais catalogue to be the companion book for its exhibition. This reprint will also satisfy high demand from booksellers. Once again, the Vivian Maier catalogue will be on the end-of-year tables at bookstores!
