With press, digital, posters, radio, television, film, events, storytelling and more, the Rmn Grand Palais conducts 360° communication campaigns and gives creativity pride of place in its communication actions. It also lends its expertise to its partners throughout the country. A few high points from 2021:
NAPOLEON: MULTI-TARGET AND MULTICHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS Using a strong and visible graphic system, the communication campaign on the exhibition Napoleon, conducted in close collaboration with the teams of the Établissement Public du Parc et de la Grande Halle de La Villette, launched a powerful message spanning a large proportion of 2021. Numerous display campaigns took place in Paris, both in the city centre and on public transport networks, taking the number of display locations to nearly 6,400. The exhibition s partners France Télévision, France Inter, le Parisien and Konbini provided national coverage from the moment the ticket office opened, despite the significant disruptions the pandemic caused to the schedule. While all the cultural establishments were still closed, on 13 April a programme specially devoted to Napoleon was hosted at the exhibition, presented by Stéphane Bern and broadcast live on France 2, which gave the general public a preview of the unique features and the major works in the exhibition. Online, both on a dedicated website and on social media, a host of content enhanced communication around the exhibition, cre ting a fair and uncompromising and at times humorous portrait of a character who marked history for centuries to come. This approach was complemented by the carte blanche given to the media A.O.C (Analyse, Opinion, Critique) for a series of multidisciplinary articles that reflected on Napoleon today. Beyond France, the exhibition received high-quality international press coverage, with 25 articles in the print media, including the New York Times. At the end of the nine-month campaign, the overall value of the communication actions for the Napoleon exhibition was estimated at over 2 million uros.
ARTS OF ISLAM: NATIONAL AND REGIONAL CAMPAIGNS Unprecedented both in terms of their form and the way they were rolled out, the 18 Arts of Islam. A Past for a Present exhibitions were supported by a national and regional communication strategy. The design of a key visual inspired by a kaleidoscope that could be tailored to each exhibition venue made helped illustrate the diversity of the works presented throughout France, while maintaining a strong thread of continuity throughout the country. With the aim of attracting a wide and young audience largely unaccustomed to cultural institutions, the communication campaigns were built between historical references and contemporary elements. The trailer for the project is a good illustration of this, presenting the key works of the 18 exhibitions in motion design and to music by the group Acid Arab, at the crossroads of folklore and electronic music.
