MODERNISING INFRASTRUCTURES AND REINFORCING THE SECURITY OF OUR IS WHILE DEVELOPING NEW REMOTE WORKING METHODS In 2021, work on modernising and renewing systems and infrastructures continued in order to ensure continuity of service and to leverage the latest technologies in reinforcing the resilience of our systems. This involved the addition of extra resources for messaging systems and the launch of the project to update the core network, the communication infrastructure serving all sites, with the implementation of modern technology offering more flexibility and secure network access for years to come.
The technical departments also made a significant contribution to supporting changes in working methods in the context of the public health crisis and to transformation agreements and projects, such as working from home and the digitisation of processes, with a large number of initiatives, including:
− pursuing the target of a collection of mainly portable PCs and MACs with the roll-out of 250 new computers (after 300 laptops rolled out in 2020) and 310 new remote workers;
− boosting telecommunications resources to improve network performance, particularly VPN for remote working, increasing internet speed to 800 Mb;
− developing videoconferencing capacities with a trial of the Teams solution in addition to the existing solution and the opening of three new in-person rooms for holding mixed meetings;
− implementing innovative solutions for developing our in-house distribution and interaction methods
− implementing softphone" and "chat" services for remote employees, replacing mobile phones;
− preparing for future developments to improve performances, with changes expected in
2022, namely softphone online, the move to a lighter, non-VPN remote-connection architecture and an updated storage system.
Finally, the IS security project, a permanent target in the Rmn Grand Palais security policy, made a major breakthrough in 2021 with the launch of the cyber security approach as part of the France Relance plan run by the ANSSI, which aims to reinforce the security of infrastructures and procedures to combat cyber attacks.
