SPECIAL EDITIONS The identity of Rmn Grand Palais publications lies in the quality of the books, both in terms of style and of substance. Two 2021 publications perfectly illustrate the technical, meticulous and creative approach employed by the production department for each of its publications. Reflecting the frieze presented at the Musée de l'Orangerie, the spectacular coffee- table book David Hockney. A Year in Normandy, with a print run of 10,000 copies, comes in the form of an accordion book, hand-made by an artisanal binder. The book is nearly 17 metres long when unfolded. The images produced by Hockney on an iPad were printed in 5 colours (primary colours and a Pantone neon green) on an LED UV press for a perfect result. The collector s version of the catalogue Hip-hop 360, with a limited print run of
1,000 copies, features an American dust jacket that can be unfolded into a poster, with an original work signed by the graffiti artist Darco. The publication, the back of which has visible stitching, comes in a Polybag also designed by the artist and is printed using flexography. Both publications were particularly well-received, as shown by the sales figures!
